Disclaimer The
League for Social Continence (LSC) exists to promote the Social Continence system, and to express an opinion on other social
issues. However, unless we specifically authorise named individual persons or other named agencies to act on our behalf by
either written or verbal instruction, we cannot be held responsible or in any way liable for the actions of persons or agencies
claiming to represent or practise, or be influenced by the principles of Social Continence. Furthermore, if the principles
of the Social Continence system are incorporated into UK law, or into the law of any other jurisdiction, then under all circumstances
full liability for the operation of the system and any consequences arising from it will reside with the UK government or
the governments of other jurisdictions, or with the various agents and agencies employed directly by them.
Collection of Data The LSC may collect and use the following data: 1.
Information about your computer, including IP address, browser, geographical location, referral source (if any) and
your length of visit and number of pages viewed. 2. Information
that you provide to us with regard to any transaction or for the purpose of subscribing to our newsletters or any other communications
that we may provide. 3. Other information that you
may voluntarily provide to us.
Advertising Policy From time to time the LSC may use an internet advertising
device known as a ‘cookie’ which consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by
the browser. This allows the web server to identify and track the web browser. Our
advertisers may also send you cookies. Most browsers enable you to reject these, should you choose to do so.
Use of Personal DataAny
personal data submitted to the LSC may be used to: 1. To
administer and further enable your use of the web-site. 2. To answer
by email any specific question, or points arising from your use of the web-site. Please note, however, that it is not the
policy of the LSC to respond to individual emails, regardless of circumstance. 3.
To send you any information which we consider relevant to your expressed interest in the web-site. 4.
To send you our newsletter or other communications relating to the LSC, or relevant information from other third parties
which may be of interest to you, by email or, where appropriate, by post. You can inform us at any time if you no longer wish
to receive such communications. 5. To provide third parties with
statistical information relating to the use of the LSC web-site. But any such information provided will NOT be used to identify
individual users. Neither will we, without your expressed consent, distribute to third parties any information of a personal
nature in any way that can identify you. 6. Some
of our receipts and payments are handled by Paypal. You
should only use Paypal after viewing their privacy policy
at www.paypal.com. Any information we share with Paypal will
only relate to matters regarding your financial transactions with us.
Disclosures
We may disclose information about you in
the following circumstances: 1. If we are required by law to do so. 2.
If required to do so in order to defend our legal rights in any legal action. 3. If we are required to
provide information to a purchaser, or prospective purchaser of the LSC brand, logo or copyright; or to any other person who
may become involved with the LSC in an official capacity. Any such information disclosed in these circumstances will, however,
be in accordance with the policies as set out above.
Transfer of Data At present the
LSC operates solely within the UK. At some future stage, however, it is possible that some of the information we store and
collect may be transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force throughout the
European Union. It is also possible
that due to circumstances entirely beyond our control any personal data provided by you may be published and circulated on
the World Wide Web (the Internet). Provided we have taken reasonable care to protect your data, as outlined in the above policy,
the LSC explicitly disclaims any responsibility or liability for damages arising from data used by third parties under such
circumstances.
Failure
of Software The LSC cannot
be held liable or responsible for any loss arising as a consequence of customers’ or purchasers’ software failure,
or loss arising from the service-failure of Independent Service-Providers.
Policy Updates The LSC reserves the right to review
this policy from time to time. However, any MATERIAL changes to the Terms and Conditions set out above, or changes made in
accordance to the requirements of UK law, will be notified to individual subscribers as soon as possibe.
